Syracuse

We got to spend some time in Syracuse with both sides of the family. Uncle Jason flew in on Friday the first. Amy and Uncle Jason got to see some of their cousins and their children that they haven't seen in 9 years! It was great to spend time with them. We stayed at camp with Uncle Gary and Aunt Elaine....who I think Grace wanted to be adopted by! Uncle Gary's boat bit the dust the first night we took her out....but the ride was awesome anyway! Grace has a new love of fishing thanks to Uncle Gary. She caught 30 fish one day and Justin caught 31 (of course, it's always a competition!) We played lots of games....most involving money that the Kobus/Pickard Family won!!! Sorry Craig, maybe you'll have more luck when we're back in California :) Jaime and Bear had to spend a lot of time babysitting the Pickards but we enjoyed that time so we hope they did too! The Stiller/Kobus families from Delaware we enjoyed camp time....especially when Amy beat William, Sarah and Grace made alliances, Ryon lost first in pass the Aces and Ron always liked to give his chips away in LCR! Jake, always sit across from Amy :) We hope to make it out for one of the weddings/graduations next summer with hopefully more camp time.

We celebrated Aunt Esther's 90th birthday! We got to see the Raner and Farrell side of the family as well. Lots of great food to eat...Aunt Jane's macaroni salad, Joe's Grilling, and Julie's spicy chicken dip! Yum. It was great to see all the cousin's and their children.....who most are taller than Amy now...definitely taller than Vonnie :) We got to spend more time with Aunt Jane, Uncle Moose, Uncle Mert, Aunt Ginny, and Uncle Dickie at dinner one night. We're still trying to convince them to come out to California for a visit. We got to see Uncle Dickie's place and stopped by 1044 State Fair Blvd...doesn't look the same but still makes Amy remember all the good times there.

I had a great time visiting with the Kobus and Raner families, thanks. Hopefully we'll all do a better job keeping in touch.
